Boss VFX storyboards, ShadowQuest

Storyboards for the animations and visual effects of the final boss encounter in 2013's MagiQuest: ShadowQuest. The final boss, Malaki the Light Eater, attacks the player with a number of darkness-based spells, and the player needs to use specific runic spells acquired on their journey to counter each. If the player uses the incorrect spell, or mistimes their cast, they'll take damage.

Also modeled and textured the Stone Wall used to block one of Malaki's attacks.

I modeled and textured the Stone Wall asset summoned in this encounter. The beams needed to be breakable, and stones able to come loose, the animation of sustaining damage from blocking a force wave.
